This qualification gives you a great platform to further develop your Business knowledge and a range of skills including problem solving, communication and ICT. This qualification will open many doors in the future.

Duration: 2 Years
The BTEC in Business is a Level 3 qualification which is the equivalent of an A-level. It is at a more advanced level than the work you will have done in Year 11.
The learning programme covers the following content areas:
Business environments
Finance
Marketing
Entry Requirements
Essential:
Level 2 threshold (5 A*- C grades or equivalent) including a grade C or above in English. Learners will also need a grade C or above in Maths unless they have previously studied business and gained a C or a pass grade.
Desirable:
Studied business GCSE or BTEC before.
This course will be a natural progression route for those who have studied Business at Level 2 but will also appeal to those learners who have an interest in the world of Business.

How Will I Be Assessed?
All units will be assessed and graded at Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction*
The styles of external assessment used for qualifications in the Business course are:
Examinations – all learners take the same assessment at the same time, normally with a written outcome
Set tasks – learners take the assessment during a defined window and demonstrate understanding through completion of a vocational task.
